About Lux Builders

Lux Builders is a Brighton, Michigan design-build firm that designs your project completely, prices it once, and builds it to that number. Our team brings 20+ years of luxury residential building and remodeling experience — and a way of working that removes the reasons remodeling goes wrong.

What we believe

The price is the price. Design and every selection finish before the number is set — nothing left to allowances by the time you sign, no change-order roulette.
One roof. In-house design, direct-dealer materials, and construction management from one team. Nobody to point fingers at, because there is nobody else.
Real numbers in public. Our investment ranges are on this website before you ever pick up the phone. Most competitors will not do that.
Honesty over persuasion. If a project does not pencil — if you are at the top of your street's value, or the lot cannot take the footprint — we say so.
The same team, start to finish. The people who design your project stay on it through closeout. You talk to your builder, not a call center.

The credentials, plainly

Lux Builders Corporation holds Michigan Residential Builder Licence No. 262600685, valid to 05/31/2029, and is licensed and insured in Michigan. Our contracts adopt the NAHB Residential Construction Performance Guidelines as the named standard for workmanship and finishes — most builders never name a standard at all.

A residential builder licence — ours or anyone's — does not cover mechanical, electrical or plumbing. No builder should self-perform that work beyond minor maintenance, and we do not. It is done by the licensed trades and warranted by the people licensed to stand behind it.

The warranty

Three layers, honestly split.

Eighteen months on our workmanship — everything not already covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing carry a twelve-month warranty and are serviced by the licensed trades that installed them — that is faster than routing it through us, and it keeps a licensed trade on the repair. Manufacturer warranties on appliances and fixtures pass through to you.

Who owns your project, stage by stage

Sales takes you from first call to a signed design agreement — and returns your call within the hour in business hours.
The designer & selections coordinator owns the plan and walks every selection with you, cabinetry to paint, until 100% are signed with zero TBDs.
The estimator bids every trade at least twice and locks the budget before the contract.
The project manager runs the build to the agreed plan and price, with a written update on the same day every week.

Where we build

Brighton is home. We build across Livingston, Oakland, Washtenaw and western Wayne counties — Howell, Hartland, Northville, Novi, South Lyon, Plymouth, Milford, Pinckney, Ann Arbor and Commerce Township — with a specialty lane in lakefront and acreage projects.
